Drake Scorpion Review

Songs I liked off the album: Survival, Elevate, God’s Plan, Mob Ties, Is There More, Peak, Jaded, How You Feel, Blue Tint, & In My Feelings . This project has a very cohesive sound, but the production is not very innovative. I hear the same beats that have been created on past albums. It is at the same par as “Views” & “More Life” with no progression. The only reason why this album is rated higher than Kanye West’s “ye” is because 24 tracks gives him a lot of time to experiment with hit or misses. Other songs after analysis include second half of disc 1 & second half of disc 2. Producers : No ID, Dj Premier, !llmind, Bio-1da, TrapMoneyBenny, & T-minus Additional Songwriters : Partynextdoor & Ty Dolla’ Sign Features :  Jay Z, Future, & Ty Dolla’ Sign Samples: (Mariah Carey, Nas, N.W.A., Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, & Boyz II Men) Conclusion: Overall good album mostly due to the lyrical content. Rate:...

Kanye West Ye Review Rate: 3/5

The one thing I like about this album is that there is no heavy trap influence. This record is so cohesive for being a 7 track album. The sound of the record which I assume was done all digitally. Kanye’s temperament throughout this album & the color palette chosen for the record (green). There are so many writers & producers. The elaborate “I hate being bi-polar it’s awesome.” Compositions are continuously different as if indicating a whole different song was spliced together. Return of Kid Cudi in the albums texture. Lastly, Kanye welcomes newcomer 070 shake to the project. Examples: “All Mine” first 10secs. Transition or segment into “Wouldn’t leave” Samples: Slick Rick in “No Mistakes”

Welcome

This blog will be foundationally based on music reviews. Second I will be adding relevant old/new music. With this blog I do not plan to copy nor do I plan to be different from other blogs. This is just a hobby I would like to start. There is no telling how frequent this will be, but I’m here for the listeners.
